A well-considered and consistent use of typography is the backbone of a visual identity. Depending on the specific applications, two typefaces were chosen: Effra for printed matter and Calibri for MS Office applications.
The Institute of Tropical Medicine choose to use the font Effra for all pre-printed data (e.g. name, address, telephone number, …) on stationery as well as for their various publications (e.g. annual reports, brochures, …).
This typeface was created in 2008 by Jonas Schudel and is published by Dalton Maag.
A typeface is not public property: a licence has to be bought by the user. You can order Effra online at MyFonts.
Microsoft Word templates (letter, fax, ...) and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations use Calibri.
Designed by Lucas de Groot under the authority of Microsoft, Calibri became a system font from Windows® Vista on. This typeface is also the default font in Microsoft Office applications (from MS Office 2007 on).
A typeface is not public property: a licence has to be bought by the user if the font is not installed through MS Office. You can order Calibri online at Ascenderfonts.
